Italian and European patent attorney. He has been in the field of intellectual property (IP) since October 1996.
In 1998 and 1999, Ing. Scilletta has completed various stages on patent regulations in the US and UK. In 2012, he participated in the Workshop for Mediators in IP Disputes organized by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) in Geneva, Switzerland.
From 1994 to 1996, he was a software application designer and information technology engineer.
Among others, he provides technical-legal advice on patents, including examination procedures, oppositions and opinions on nullity and counterfeiting. Ing. Scilletta acts as a party consultant and acts as a Technical Consultant to the judge in patent litigation in Italy. It also provides economic estimates of IP rights and products/processes protected by IP rights.
Ing. Scilletta is tutor for the national basic course in Rome of the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) since 2006, and tutor for the European Patent Institute (EPI) since 2010. He is an adjunct professor for postgraduate courses in various Italian universities.
He regularly cooperates with the EPO (European Patent Office) Academy in training events and participates as a speaker in seminars, conferences, and lectures on IP on behalf of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Industry, Crafts and Agriculture and the companies of the Chamber of Commerce system, and in various university courses.
Ing. Scilletta is a member of AIPLA (American Intellectual Property Law Association) since 2002 and of AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) since 2006.
